Terms and Conditions of Service
Last Modified: July 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, interacting with our web API, or installing the BillEnvoy mobile applications across iOS and Android storefronts, you agree to be strictly bound by these service conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease using our services.
2. Virtual Account Opening & Wallet Funding
To facilitate seamless wallet funding, BillEnvoy provision individual virtual accounts generated via our third-party payment partner, **Paystack**. By using this service, you acknowledge that you may be required to complete identity verification compliance (KYC) required by Paystack and regulatory bodies in Nigeria.
Strict Prohibition of Illicit Funds: The use of stolen, fraudulent, or compromised funds to top up your BillEnvoy wallet via your assigned virtual account is strictly prohibited. Any account flagged for receiving illicit funds will be permanently suspended, and relevant details will be forwarded to law enforcement agencies.
3. Card Funding & Fraud Prevention
Users can fund their wallets using local or international debit and credit cards. **The use of stolen, cloned, or unauthorized cards is strictly prohibited.** We employ fraud monitoring systems to track suspicious card transactions. BillEnvoy reserves the right to lock your account, withhold funds, and reverse unauthorized transactions if fraudulent card activities are detected.
4. Automated Bill Payments
BillEnvoy offers automated utility processing (including recurring schedules or instant checkouts for Airtime purchase, Mobile data subscription, Cable TV renewals, and Electricity bills). These actions can be configured for your own benefit or for third-party recipients.
By scheduling or triggering an automated payment, you grant BillEnvoy explicit authorization to **automatically debit your in-app wallet balance** to process the transaction. It is your sole responsibility to ensure your wallet is sufficiently funded before the execution cycle. BillEnvoy is not liable for service disruptions caused by insufficient wallet balances.
5. Failed Transactions & Refund Policy
While our systems ensure real-time clearing with network providers, transaction failures may occasionally occur due to third-party provider downtime or network timeouts.
Wallet-Only Refunds: If a bill payment fails completely and value is not delivered, **the refund will be credited directly to your BillEnvoy in-app wallet only.** Refunds will not be processed back to original bank accounts, debit cards, or source virtual accounts under any circumstances. Wallet balances can be used for subsequent transaction attempts.
6. Account Security & Verification
You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, including transaction PINs and passwords. Any transaction executed via your authenticated account will be deemed authorized by you. If you suspect your account has been compromised, notify us immediately.
7. Limitation of Liability
BillEnvoy provides its services on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to services during upstream telecom or utility provider switch downtimes. In no event shall BillEnvoy be liable for secondary losses, damage to business reputation, or consequential damages resulting from transaction delays.
